"Sommer Ohne Ende" - RIESENWELLE CONSURFATORY

We here at RIR are VERY excited to bring you this lost gem! Do you tell people that you are cultured and enjoy classical music, but secretly you live to cut loose to some wild and crazy surf beats? This will be right up you alley!
"Sommer Ohne Ende" is a collection of well-known classical pieces, reinterpreted in a 60's surf guitar style. Crazy, right? We thought so, too. But this disc is so much FUN! It's light, and yet heavy in all the right ways.

Apparently, the musicians of the Riesenwelle Consurfatory (sic) were four classically trained music students in Germany in the mid '70s. We couldn't find any more information about them, until we found Hans Kritiker (who provides our liner notes for this re-issue). Hans is an obsessive collector of rare music, and came into one of the rarer vinyl bootlegs of this album years ago (and we are quite jealous). With his connections and network of friends, we were able to track down a second-generation mix of the entire album, which we lovingly re-mastered and cleaned up just for you!

"Sommer Ohne Ende" is now available for download on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, and other online retailers. We have also pressed a Limited Edition CD, including a faithful reproduction of the original album art. Visit the album page (here) for more information.
